Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy and how does it support children’s development?

Please note: Occupational Therapy is currently not available.

Occupational Therapy takes a holistic approach to help individuals engage and succeed in the important occupations of their life.

For a child, their most important occupation is to play and explore! Each child has unique gifts, strengths and needs, and therefore each treatment plan will utilize play activities and games that are designed specifically for your child’s level of development. OT uses a play-based and strength-based approach to address sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, play and social skills and self-help skills.

OT at Club Aviva will also include the use of the inclusive gymnastics setting which will allow the OT to incorporate a variety of different apparatuses including the balance beam, trampoline, trapeze and bars, to your child’s unique therapy plan.
